Vitality, Resilience and Loneliness

It is alarming that more than 60% of women in the United States struggle with low energy, resilience and feeling a part of something that produces companionship, even if they are surrounded by those who love them, like spouse, family and children.
A study by Cigna Group show only 18% of US adults experience the capacity to pursue life with health, strength an energy. While this study was done with men and women, there was a striking difference in the percentage of women who experienced this versus the men. The overall consensus was not only do they have lower vitality, they have less resilience, are lonelier, have greater emotional and financial needs and feel less competent than males.

The biggest gap in the the vitality study was in the mental health of women. Working women are more likely to be diagnosed with clinical depression and are less likely to seek professional help. In the general population, however, there is no gap between men and women who seek help but at 20 % it is still alarmingly low.
While the contributing factors include Environmental well-being, Financial Well-being, Social Well-being. Intellectual well-being, spiritual well-being and occupational well-being. The most effective factors that affect vitality, resilience an loneliness in women are environmental, social and spiritual well-being.
Emotional health is is one of the largest driving factors in higher energy levels by 25%. Simple actions such as mindfulness and yoga can help increase emotional health.
Social connectivity also affect a person’s energy levels and helps create stronger healthy relationships which increase a feeling of belonging.
Environmental and physical surroundings have a significant impact on how you feel. These surroundings can include nature, where you live, and the people around you. Spending time outdoors, and creating inspiring spaces can aid in increasing vitality.
An important part of a healthy life, energy, and purpose is your spiritual well-being. Using self reflection, meditation and mindfulness is self-love and the foundation of learning to elevate your physical energy levels and create a world that is congruent to the needs of your life.
